The 25th Anniversary of NBA Live section has been archived under our Featured Content & Community Noticeboard, our Stories section has been moved to the top, and the Other Basketball Games board is now with the other Off-Topic sections. Specifically, the NBA Live and NBA 2K boards have been split into their own sections again, with the most recent/active boards remaining on the index while the others are available under the Older NBA Live/NBA 2K Games sections. If there are ways that we can be more informative, entertaining, and generally useful to the basketball gaming community, we’d like to know!Īs you may have also noticed, we’ve recently revamped the NLSC Forum. In addition to inviting you to join in the discussion in the Forum, help keep the Wiki page updated, and eventually add mods to our Downloads database, I’m also seeking some suggestions. Discussion boards for NBA 2K23 modding and sections for uploading NBA 2K23 mods will be added to the Forum and Downloads database after the game is released. These include our game portal, a board in the NLSC Forum, and a Wiki page. With the preview season officially underway, we’ve launched our various NBA 2K23 resources. Here are five things that I’ve lost due to a lack of care and foresight. The times when I’ve been careless with my save files are undoubtedly among my biggest regrets as far as basketball gaming is concerned. When you’ve carelessly done something that’s resulted in your progress being lost, it’s tougher to shift the blame onto somebody else! Even if there’s something clunky in the game that’s partly to blame, you’re stuck with the knowledge that it could’ve been avoided if you were just the teeniest bit more careful. It’s bad enough when it occurs due to a glitch in a game, but at least you can turn your anger and frustration outwards towards the developers and publisher.
Life goes on, but it sucks to have all that progress go up in smoke. After all, while I think we can and should acknowledge that other losses are far more significant in the grand scheme of things, it’s still a bummer when we lose save files, data, and other content in video games. The sentiment usually refers to more important things in life than video games, but since that’s what we cover around these parts, I’ll appropriate it for this occasion. It’s an old adage that’s been lamented in the music of Joni Mitchell and the band Cinderella alike. You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. This week’s Five is a list of five things – namely saves or other data and content – that I carelessly lost in various games.
